Starter trim gives a solid base from which to begin installing cladding. The first length of cladding slots directly into the purpose made channel while the bottom allows an element of cover to allow air circulation behind the cladding.

Top Tip - Remember when installing to keep the starter trim horizontal (a long spirit level or laser level will help with this) as this is the foundation of which all the other boards are fitted. A small devience from horizontal at the start of installation would be amplified with each additional board added.
