What's the Difference Between 1-Star and 3-Star Euro Cylinders?

A 1-star cylinder resists picking, drilling, and bumping, but not snapping on its own — it needs a 2-star security handle to reach full 3-star equivalent protection. A 3-star cylinder resists all of these attacks, including snapping, as a standalone product with no extra hardware required.

What is Anti-Snap Protection, and How Does it Work?

Anti-snap protection is a security feature designed to prevent an attacker from snapping the lock and reaching the internal mechanism. It works using a deliberate "sacrificial" weak point — when force is applied, the outer barrel breaks away cleanly at this point, leaving the cam and core protected and the door still locked.
