Konig Hardwax is a durable repair wax designed for restoring scratches, chips, and small holes on solid wood, veneer, foil, and plastic surfaces. Suitable for both flat areas and edges, it provides strong adhesion, good elasticity, and a professional finish.

Formulated from a blend of mineral waxes coloured with earth and oxide dyes, Konig Hardwax offers excellent adhesion and flexibility to prevent cracking under heavy use. The sticks can be melted using a heat iron or blow torch, and different shades can be mixed for a perfect colour match. Once cooled, the repair can easily be levelled off with a filler applicator, chisel, or metal planer for a smooth, lasting result.

Fitting & Usage

Konig Touch-Up Repair Pen Usage Instructions

Preparation

Clean and prepare the surface. Remove all loose particles. For genuine wood, press damaged edges round. For artificial surfaces (e.g., melamine, UPVC), cut damaged edges straight using the Edge Planer.

Pre-Touch-Up

Apply Colour Touch-Up to the damaged area using a basic shade matching the surface. For genuine wood, wrap a cloth around your forefinger, dab with Touch-Up Dye, and carefully apply. For artificial surfaces, pre-touch-up without oversoaking.

Filling, Levelling & Sealing

Apply Hardwax filler using several colour shades (light to dark) heated on a Gas Heating Iron or Electric Heater. Fill the damaged area in the direction of the grain. For pressure marks without lacquer breakage, use transparent Hard Wax PLUS. Ensure the heater temperature is not too high to avoid smoke.

Level the Surface

Strip off surplus wax using the Special Fillers Applicator. Use round grooves on edges and softwoods, and pointed grooves on flat areas. Degrease the surface and apply an intermediate sealing coat with Special Repair Lacquer PLUS.

Adjust Colour and Structure

For artificial surfaces, touch-up using the Touch-Up Paint Box or Colour Touch-Up. For genuine wood, restore the grain pattern with Touch-Up Dye or graining pen. Restore surface structure by lightly scratching with an upholstery needle or Special Scraper.

Seal and Protect

Seal the repaired area from dust and dirt using Special Repair Lacquer PLUS. Apply 2-3 thin misty coats from a distance of 30–40 cm to adjust sheen and ensure long-lasting protection.

SHIPPING

We endeavour to despatch most orders within 1 working day. Where possible, orders received before 1:00pm may be despatched the same day. Accurate despatch times are available on individual product pages.

Most orders (those being stock items below 1.2m in length) will be despatched same day when ordered before 1pm, and received the following delivery day. We deliver items of that size from Monday to Saturday. Stock items over 1.2m are sent using a two-day carrier, who do not deliver on a weekend.

Due to the size and nature of some bespoke, and non-stock products, we offer restricted delivery options. Delivery options can be selected at the checkout page before payment Is made.

DELIVERY AND RETURNS

Any dates quoted for delivery of the goods are approximate only and Truly PVC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss suffered by the customer arising from any delay in the delivery of the goods.

All deliveries must be received, and where appropriate, signed for, by a person over the age of 18 years old.

Delivery takes place, and risk passes to you, at the earliest of the following:

When the goods are handed over to you or your agent at Truly PVC’s premises.
When the goods leave the premises of Truly PVC.
On the 7th day after you have been notified that the goods are ready for despatch.

Customers should notify us within 7 days of the invoice date for any alleged defect, damage, failure to comply with description, missing items, or discrepancies. If no notification is made within this period, the goods are deemed accepted and free from defect.

Customers are responsible for obtaining any necessary licences or permissions for importing goods into their country of destination.

Long Lengths (over 1.2m)

For any product over 1.2m in length we cannot guarantee a ‘Next Day’ delivery service. Products over 1.2m have to be manually handled in some Depots and this can often add 1 – 2 days to the delivery time.

DELIVERY PROHIBITIONS

Orders for aerosol items, items over 1m, or deliveries to remote locations (e.g., Scottish Highlands, offshore islands, Northern Ireland) may not be fulfilable or may incur a surcharge.

Should this be the case, we will contact you with the option of either paying the surcharge or cancelling the order. Remote postcodes include AB30-AB38, AB40-AB56, BT, FK17-FK21, G83, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KA27-KA28, KW, PA20-PA99, PH, TR21-TR25, ZE.

COLLECTION (from our Warehouse)

To collect your order, choose 'Collect in Person' as the shipping method. We will contact you if there is an issue preparing your order, so please provide a contact telephone number.

Stock items are usually available for collection 1 business day after ordering. For early collection or non-stock items (e.g., polycarbonate), please call 0161 339 4982.
