Short, 2.5m (8ft 4in) length of two-part vertical joint trim for securing and weatherproofing the abuttment of cladding boards, whilst allowing room for natural expansion and contraction. The simple click-together system has been designed to make the installation both tidy and simple.

Available in a range of colours this is a attractive, low-maintenance, weathe resistant solution for replacing rotten timber cladding, concealing problem brickwork or adding a unique and interesting feature to your property.

Designed for an easy installation, it uses a simple clip-together system and with the woodgrain finishes you can create a rustic timber-effect or a simple modern contemporary white finish.

Fitting & Usage

Fitting uPVC Shiplap Cladding

Preparation

Measure the area to determine the amount of cladding needed.
Consider purchasing extra material to account for errors or adjustments.
Ensure you have all necessary tools, including a tape measure, level, saw, hammer, nails, screws, drill, and uPVC adhesive.
Required materials may include cladding boards, starter trim, corner trims, drip trims and edge trims.
Prepare the surface where the cladding will be installed, removing any protrusions, and repair any damage to ensure a smooth and even base.

Installation

Use a level to draw a straight line at the base of the wall where the first trim will be installed.
Secure the starter trim along the marked line using screws or nails. Ensure it is level to provide a solid foundation for the cladding boards.
Insert the bottom edge of the first cladding board into the starter trim. Make sure the board is level and then secure it in place with nails or screws through the nailing flange.
Continue to install the subsequent boards by interlocking them with the previous ones. Each board should snap securely into place over the lower board's flange. Nail or screw each board through the flange, ensuring they are level and properly aligned.
Use specific corner trims for internal and external corners. Fix these trims in place first, before installing the cladding boards that will meet at these points.
Edge trims can be used around windows and doors to provide a neat finish. Measure and cut the trims to fit accurately around these openings.
The topmost cladding board may need to be cut lengthwise to fit. Once in place, cover the top edge with a fascia board or a finishing trim to seal the installation.
Finally, check for any loose boards or trims and secure them as necessary. Ensure all joints are tight and the cladding is uniformly installed.

SHIPPING

We endeavour to despatch most orders within 1 working day. Where possible, orders received before 1:00pm may be despatched the same day. Accurate despatch times are available on individual product pages.

Most orders (those being stock items below 1.2m in length) will be despatched same day when ordered before 1pm, and received the following delivery day. We deliver items of that size from Monday to Saturday. Stock items over 1.2m are sent using a two-day carrier, who do not deliver on a weekend.

Due to the size and nature of some bespoke, and non-stock products, we offer restricted delivery options. Delivery options can be selected at the checkout page before payment Is made.

DELIVERY AND RETURNS

Any dates quoted for delivery of the goods are approximate only and Truly PVC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss suffered by the customer arising from any delay in the delivery of the goods.

All deliveries must be received, and where appropriate, signed for, by a person over the age of 18 years old.

Delivery takes place, and risk passes to you, at the earliest of the following:

When the goods are handed over to you or your agent at Truly PVC’s premises.
When the goods leave the premises of Truly PVC.
On the 7th day after you have been notified that the goods are ready for despatch.

Customers should notify us within 7 days of the invoice date for any alleged defect, damage, failure to comply with description, missing items, or discrepancies. If no notification is made within this period, the goods are deemed accepted and free from defect.

Customers are responsible for obtaining any necessary licences or permissions for importing goods into their country of destination.

Long Lengths (over 1.2m)

For any product over 1.2m in length we cannot guarantee a ‘Next Day’ delivery service. Products over 1.2m have to be manually handled in some Depots and this can often add 1 – 2 days to the delivery time.

DELIVERY PROHIBITIONS

Orders for aerosol items, items over 1m, or deliveries to remote locations (e.g., Scottish Highlands, offshore islands, Northern Ireland) may not be fulfilable or may incur a surcharge.

Should this be the case, we will contact you with the option of either paying the surcharge or cancelling the order. Remote postcodes include AB30-AB38, AB40-AB56, BT, FK17-FK21, G83, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KA27-KA28, KW, PA20-PA99, PH, TR21-TR25, ZE.

COLLECTION (from our Warehouse)

To collect your order, choose 'Collect in Person' as the shipping method. We will contact you if there is an issue preparing your order, so please provide a contact telephone number.

Stock items are usually available for collection 1 business day after ordering. For early collection or non-stock items (e.g., polycarbonate), please call 0161 339 4982.
