Description

greenteQ Alpha Tilt & Turn TBT Key-Locking uPVC Window Handle

(Choice of finish)

Effortless tilt and turn control

Robust, high-performance window handle for PVC-u, timber, and aluminium tilt & turn casement windows. Dual-action operation allows hopper-style tilt ventilation and full side-hung inward opening for easy cleaning and reliable emergency egress. Includes key deadlock and tilt-safe function for enhanced security and child safety.

Strong construction ensures smooth, reliable operation of complex multi-point locking mechanisms. Supplied with a croppable 40mm spindle, the handle fits both modern tilt-before-turn and older turn-first windows via invertible backplate. Ergonomic inline lever suits left or right openings, delivering a sleek, contemporary profile suitable for residential and commercial applications.

4-Mode Opeartion

  1. Fully Locked (Key turned 180°)
The handle is locked and the window cannot open in any position. For maximum security when the property is empty.
  2. Tilt Safe (Key turned 90°; backplate shows TS)
The handle opens to the tilt position only – ideal for secure ventilation. The window cannot fully open, preventing accidental falls.
  3. Unlocked (Key at 0°; backplate shows TS)
The handle moves freely from closed to tilt and then to turn, allowing for full sash egress.
  4. Turn-First Mode (Inverted backplate shows TF)
Designed for older turn-first windows. The handle must be turned the full 180° to operate.

Did you know? TBT handles look similar to standard Espagnolette handles but are built much more robustly. Espag handles operate simple side- or top-hung windows with a single action, while TBT handles must drive a complex, multi-point locking system to deliver two distinct opening modes—tilt and turn. The result? A stronger handle engineered to handle significantly more friction and force, every day.
