Description

Soudal Firecryl FR Fire Resistant Acrylic Sealant

(310ml, in white or grey)

Resists the passage of fire and smoke!

Fire-resistant intumescent acrylic sealant and filler, for preventing fire and smoke penetration through joints and gaps. Fire-rated for up to 4 hours and intumescent at temperatures above 120°C. Offers primerless adhesion to most construction materials, and conforms to all international standards, including CE marking.

Being free of solvent and isocyanate, Soudal Firecryl FR is not harmful to our health or the environment, and offers improved long-term performance. It is odourless, so comfortable to work with, and it can be overpainted once cured, so you can have the exact colour you want, over the protection you deserve. Meets the requirements of FD30, FD60, and higher, when tested as part of a door set.

Features & Benefits

  • Excellent fire resistance - up to 4 hours resistance
  • Effective smoke barrier - stops smoke spreading
  • Intumescent material - swells when exposed to heat
  • Permanently elastic - stretches instead of breaking seals
  • High adhesion on porous surfaces - less need to prime
  • Colourfast finish - doesn’t discolour over time
  • Paintable once cured - decorate to your tastes
  • Fire rated assurance - meet building regulations

Soudal Firecryl FR acrylic sealant is offered as a joint sealant or filler for use in internal passive fire protection systems; installation of fire retardant window and door frames, fire retardant connection joints, penetration seals, and fire-retardant filling of cracks in concrete and plasterwork. Take a look at our Firecryl FR Application image to gain a better understanding of usage, application methods, and how a desired fire rating can be achieved.

What is an intumescent sealant? Intumescent sealant swells when exposed to heat. They increase in volume, and decreases in density, to form an insulating protective layer, which helps further to slow the spread of fire and smoke.
