Fast, flexible push-fit pipe for high-volume waste

40mm push-fit waste pipe designed for domestic above-ground grey water drainage kitchen sinks, baths, showers, washing machines, dishwashers and other high flow-rate applications. The system assembles instantly with no adhesives or solvents, while the demountable joints allow easy modifications, maintenance and future extensions without cutting pipework.

Manufactured from polypropylene to BS EN 1451, the pipe offers excellent chemical resistance and reliably handles intermittent high-temperature waste water discharge. When used with push-fit fittings, it forms secure, watertight connections via the integral rubber ring seals.

Fitting & Usage

System Compatibility

32mm system – for bathroom basins, cloakroom basins, vanity basins and other low flow-rate applications.
40mm system – for kitchen sinks, utility sinks, baths, showers, washing machines and dishwashers.
Reducer – use the 40mm to 32mm reducer when connecting a 32mm branch into a 40mm main waste line.
Compatibility – Push-Fit and Solvent Weld systems are not directly compatible, but can be joined using a suitable universal fitting.

Preparation & Installation

Measure and mark the required pipe length
Cut the pipe square using a fine-tooth saw or pipe cutter
Deburr and chamfer the cut edge with an appropriate tool or file
Wipe the pipe end clean of dust, grease or swarf
Apply a suitable silicone-based lubricant to aid assembly
Push the pipe firmly into the fitting to full insertion depth

Pipe Support

All pipework must be supported using pipe clips, both vertically and horizontally. Maximum support spacing for 32mm and 40mm waste pipe, as recommended by BS EN 12056:2000, is 1.2m vertically and 0.5m horizontally. Position clips close to fittings and changes in direction to prevent sagging and maintain the correct fall.

Dismantling

Push-fit joints are demountable. To disassemble, pull the pipe from the socket with a slight twisting motion. If the joint resists, a gentle rocking action will help release the seal. Inspect the rubber ring seal for damage before reassembly.

Important Notes

Where possible, use swept bends for changes in direction to promote smoother flow and reduce blockage risk
Do not use oil-based lubricants as they can damage the rubber seals
Test the system for leaks after installation

Delivery

SHIPPING

We endeavour to despatch most orders within 1 working day. Where possible, orders received before 1:00pm may be despatched the same day. Accurate despatch times are available on individual product pages.

Most orders (those being stock items below 1.2m in length) will be despatched same day when ordered before 1pm, and received the following delivery day. We deliver items of that size from Monday to Saturday. Stock items over 1.2m are sent using a two-day carrier, who do not deliver on a weekend.

Due to the size and nature of some bespoke, and non-stock products, we offer restricted delivery options. Delivery options can be selected at the checkout page before payment Is made.

DELIVERY AND RETURNS

Any dates quoted for delivery of the goods are approximate only and Truly PVC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss suffered by the customer arising from any delay in the delivery of the goods.

All deliveries must be received, and where appropriate, signed for, by a person over the age of 18 years old.

Delivery takes place, and risk passes to you, at the earliest of the following:

When the goods are handed over to you or your agent at Truly PVC’s premises.
When the goods leave the premises of Truly PVC.
On the 7th day after you have been notified that the goods are ready for despatch.

Customers should notify us within 7 days of the invoice date for any alleged defect, damage, failure to comply with description, missing items, or discrepancies. If no notification is made within this period, the goods are deemed accepted and free from defect.

Customers are responsible for obtaining any necessary licences or permissions for importing goods into their country of destination.

Long Lengths (over 1.2m)

For any product over 1.2m in length we cannot guarantee a ‘Next Day’ delivery service. Products over 1.2m have to be manually handled in some Depots and this can often add 1 – 2 days to the delivery time.

DELIVERY PROHIBITIONS

Orders for aerosol items, items over 1m, or deliveries to remote locations (e.g., Scottish Highlands, offshore islands, Northern Ireland) may not be fulfilable or may incur a surcharge.

Should this be the case, we will contact you with the option of either paying the surcharge or cancelling the order. Remote postcodes include AB30-AB38, AB40-AB56, BT, FK17-FK21, G83, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KA27-KA28, KW, PA20-PA99, PH, TR21-TR25, ZE.

COLLECTION (from our Warehouse)

To collect your order, choose 'Collect in Person' as the shipping method. We will contact you if there is an issue preparing your order, so please provide a contact telephone number.

Stock items are usually available for collection 1 business day after ordering. For early collection or non-stock items (e.g., polycarbonate), please call 0161 339 4982.
