Fitting & Usage

Loading the Xpert Dual Pro Skeleton Sealant Gun

Fully retract the plunger by pressing the thumb plate brake, and pulling the plunger hook away from the barrel.
Press the power ratio slider to select the desired ratio (see Choosing Power Ratio below).
Place the cartridge securely into the barrel, after breaking the tube seal and trimming the nozzle, which can be done with the integrated nozzle cutter.
Push the plunger back into the barrel until the pressure plate contacts the rear of the cartridge.
Rotate the barrel to position the nozzle correctly for the application.

Applying Sealant or Adhesive with the Xpert Dual Pro Skeleton Sealant Gun

Position the nozzle at the start of the joint or bonding area.
Squeeze the trigger smoothly to advance the cartridge plunger and begin extrusion.
Maintain a steady trigger pressure and move the gun consistently along the joint to produce an even bead.
Adjust the barrel position as required when working around corners or in restricted areas.
If the material is difficult to extrude, select the 20:1 power ratio.
Use the dripless function according to your preferred application method and the requirements of the material. Use the dripless function with less viscous material, and to minimise run-on.
Release pressure and finish the bead in accordance with the sealant or adhesive manufacturer's instructions.

Always check the sealant or adhesive manufacturer's instructions to confirm that the product is suitable for use with a manual cartridge gun and follow the recommended application procedure.

Changing Cartridges in the Xpert Dual Pro Skeleton Sealant Gun

Release the pressure on the cartridge and retract the plunger fully.
Rotate or release the barrel as required to remove the empty cartridge.
Prepare the new cartridge, by breaking the tube seal, and cutting the nozzle.
Insert the cartridge, ensuring that it is correctly seated.
Re-engage the plunger with the rear of the cartridge.

Choosing Power Ratio

The Xpert Dual Pro Skeleton Gun provides power ratio adjustment (10:1 and 20:1) for comfort and control when working with materials of different viscosity.

Choose 10:1 for Low-Viscosity Material

The standard 10:1 setting is ideal for standard silicone and other lower-viscosity acrylic sealants and caulks. It provides balance between extrusion force, control and application speed.

Choose 20:1 for High-Viscosity Materials

Thicker materials, such as high-viscosity MS polymers and adhesives can require considerable force to extrude. Switching to the 20:1 setting increases mechanical advantage and therefore reduces hand fatigue during prolonged use.

Cleaning & Maintenance

The Xpert Dual Pro Skeleton Sealant Gun is very low maintenance, but a regular clean can keep your sealant applicator operating reliably for years. Key things to remember:

Remove excess material from the gun before it cures.
The integrated nozzle cleaning pin can clear clogged nozzles, but should not be relied upon to remove fully cured material.
Do not allow cured adhesive or sealant to build up around the mechanism.
Store the gun clean and dry when not in use.

Delivery

SHIPPING

We endeavour to despatch most orders within 1 working day. Where possible, orders received before 1:00pm may be despatched the same day. Accurate despatch times are available on individual product pages.

Most orders (those being stock items below 1.2m in length) will be despatched same day when ordered before 1pm, and received the following delivery day. We deliver items of that size from Monday to Saturday. Stock items over 1.2m are sent using a two-day carrier, who do not deliver on a weekend.

Due to the size and nature of some bespoke, and non-stock products, we offer restricted delivery options. Delivery options can be selected at the checkout page before payment Is made.

DELIVERY AND RETURNS

Any dates quoted for delivery of the goods are approximate only and Truly PVC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss suffered by the customer arising from any delay in the delivery of the goods.

All deliveries must be received, and where appropriate, signed for, by a person over the age of 18 years old.

Delivery takes place, and risk passes to you, at the earliest of the following:

When the goods are handed over to you or your agent at Truly PVC’s premises.
When the goods leave the premises of Truly PVC.
On the 7th day after you have been notified that the goods are ready for despatch.

Customers should notify us within 7 days of the invoice date for any alleged defect, damage, failure to comply with description, missing items, or discrepancies. If no notification is made within this period, the goods are deemed accepted and free from defect.

Customers are responsible for obtaining any necessary licences or permissions for importing goods into their country of destination.

Long Lengths (over 1.2m)

For any product over 1.2m in length we cannot guarantee a ‘Next Day’ delivery service. Products over 1.2m have to be manually handled in some Depots and this can often add 1 – 2 days to the delivery time.

DELIVERY PROHIBITIONS

Orders for aerosol items, items over 1m, or deliveries to remote locations (e.g., Scottish Highlands, offshore islands, Northern Ireland) may not be fulfilable or may incur a surcharge.

Should this be the case, we will contact you with the option of either paying the surcharge or cancelling the order. Remote postcodes include AB30-AB38, AB40-AB56, BT, FK17-FK21, G83, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KA27-KA28, KW, PA20-PA99, PH, TR21-TR25, ZE.

COLLECTION (from our Warehouse)

To collect your order, choose 'Collect in Person' as the shipping method. We will contact you if there is an issue preparing your order, so please provide a contact telephone number.

Stock items are usually available for collection 1 business day after ordering. For early collection or non-stock items (e.g., polycarbonate), please call 0161 339 4982.
