Trojan Sparta Handle Blank Plate from Yale

Strong blank cover plate for use with the Sparta door handle range, and manufactured with styling and finish to match.
Commonly found on the outside of French doors, and others, where key access isn't required to gain entry. The blank plate is available in two sizes, to suite the 122mm, and 210mm screw centres of Yale Trojan Sparta short and long lever handles. Both options feature screw-ports that provide secure through-fixing from a standard internal lever handle.

How to check whether the blank plate will fit your door
This blank plate is compatible with Yale Sparta, and the original Trojan Sparta lever handles. Measuring your existing handle correctly, will help determine whether this blank plate will be suitable. There are two sizes to take into consideration:
- Measure the distance between the centre of your top screw, and the centre of your bottom screw. The short version of this handle has 122mm screw centres, and the long version has 210mm.
- Measure the overall length of your existing backplate. The short version of this blank plate is 212mm long, and the long version is 243mm.
How to fit the Yale Sparta Blank Plate
Like-for-like replacement of an existing blank plate can be carried out quickly with just a few simple steps. Simply, loosen the fixing screws that are visible on the internal backplate, so that they disengage with the blank plate on the other side of the door. Remove the original blank plate, and position the new one in line with the screws. Then all that remains is to tighten the screws securely.
How to care for your blank plate
To keep your blank plate looking great, wipe with very mild detergent or soap, then rinse with warm clean water, and drying with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive, chemical or brass cleaners, wire brushes, scrubbers and wire wool etc.
