These magnetic bifold door catches are designed as part of the greenteQ Clearspan aluminium bifold door suite, but can be used on any aluminium bifold door. Alternative fixings may be necessary, should you wish to fit these catches to timber doors.

Fitting & Usage

Fitting the Clearline Bifold Door Magnetic Catches

The magnetic catches are supplied with a choice of fixings (rivet nut and bolt, or self-drilling screws) for secure fastening to the door sashes. Rivet nuts can be inserted into the sash, with the magnet secured to the sash using the M5 bolt fastened into the rivet nut, or the magnets can be fitted directly to the sash using the self-drilling screws.

Using the Magnetic Catches

Using the magnet catches to hold and release bifold doors could not be easier, as the magnets simply clasp the sashes tightly when the door is opened to the correct degree. When it comes time to close the doors, a simple tug of the door will release the hold.
